The Arbroath 2020 Festival is offering project grants of between £250 and £1000 to Angus artists who have an idea that they would like to develop and realise under the banner of the 2020 Festival.
The fund is a total of £10,000 and will be distributed through two meetings, one in November and the other in February.
Your idea should evolve in to a project that will be embraced by the 2020 Festival. We can guide and support where this is required but we expect projects to be mainly self-organised. The Festival will provide listings, marketing and communications through our Festival webs site and other media activity. The project should be realised between April and September 2020 and the public outcome should take place in Arbroath within these dates.
Arbroath 2020 Festival is celebrating Arbroath and its future through its history. Your project does not need to be linked directly to the history of the Declaration, this fund is about artist development so we are interested in how this can be a good project that will support the artist and their work whilst also making a strong contribution to the Festival. The Festival programme is extremely wide reaching in terms of themes and topics.
The Fund for Angus Artists is open to artists working in all disciplines and who are living and working in Angus. We look forward to receiving applications from a wide range of creative practitioners and crafts people, including writers, filmmakers, musician, performers, visual artists and more.
The Fund for Angus Artists has been made possible through The Arbroath 2020 Festival with funding from Creative Scotland’s Angus Place Partnership and Angus Council
