This paid work experience and structured training is for instrumental musicians across various backgrounds (e.g. classical, jazz, trad) with an interest in engaging with Traditional Music, targeted towards recent music graduates, current music students or those with a strong foundation in music and ability to play and an interest in working with young people.
These entry-level positions are for candidates aged up to, and including, 25 years old, or up to 30 years old if you identify as disabled. All successful applicants will be paid to attend training sessions before commencing work.
We are not seeking Pipers and Drummers for these specific trainee roles, however they are invited to apply for our NYPBS Summer Project which runs over the same period and involves Mackay’s Memoirs participation.
