We (London based arts organisation The Nest Collective) have just launched AMPLIFY – our new programme to invest in the development of 4 diverse emerging music creators across 9 months. We are delighted to have the support of PRS Foundation’s The Open Fund and Arts Council England to help develop the next generation of cross cultural traditional music in the UK.
We thought that the scheme might of interest to artists in your network, so we’d be really grateful if you’d share it with them. Artists can find out more and apply online at: http://thenestcollective.co.uk/amplify
What we’re looking for:
Emerging Music creators who are committed to developing their craft and career.
We celebrate music with a connection to folk traditions in the broadest possible sense and don’t limit our understanding of the ‘folk’ genre and welcome submissions from all backgrounds and cultures. The artists will be shortlisted by the Nest Collective’s artist team, with the final winners chosen by an industry panel.
What selected artists will receive:
AMPLIFY artists will enjoy a bespoke programme of paid performances, promotion and mentoring opportunities, launched at an industry event this spring. This will include performances as part of our Campfire Club events and Unamplifire festival, producing new video content, and opportunities for learning and mentoring (including work with our Song Collectors Collective project).
