Drake Music Scotland is seeking an experienced and highly organised Administrator to join our committed and hard working team, to coordinate office and administrative systems, coordinate our MusicSPACE programme and take responsibility for the smooth day to day running of the organisation. Drake Music Scotland is an arts organisation with charitable status based in Edinburgh but working throughout Scotland with the aim of creating opportunities for people with disabilities of all ages to have access to music making. We believe that those with disabilities and other support needs should have the opportunity to play, learn, compose and perform music, develop their skills and work towards achieving their musical ambitions.
Working closely with the rest of the core team, you will be the first point of contact for the organisation communicating with our participants, partners and the public. You will be responsible for maintaining financial records including logging all incoming and outgoing payments, handle cash and manage invoicing and payments closely with our external Accountant. The role will also include coordinating our in house MusicSPACE activity, deal with telephone and email enquiries, and liaise closely with our team of Associate Musicians.
We are looking for a friendly, efficient and flexible person, able to work on his/her own initiative and to be a key member of our core team. The successful candidate will be a well organised, confident communicator with proven administration and IT skills and will have the ability to deal effectively and efficiently with multiple workload demands and have a positive and creative attitude towards problem solving.
The full time post is offered with a probationary period of 3 months.
