I’ve been really looking forward to Adam’s latest release ‘some other land’. Many of the tunes on the album came to him in his sleep. When he has a tune idea he wakes up and makes a note of them!? I love this idea although I think I would struggle to lift my head if the pillow! Adam’s first solo album Squall showcased some of the best fiddle playing you are likely to hear so it was in some anticipation I pressed play. I’m happy to say I wasn’t disappointed- actually I loved it. Adam’s band are sounding better than ever and Mark Clement’s production is stellar. There are many standout out tunes. Two of my favs are Sushi 7/8 – a swinging piece showcasing the talents of the band. I also loved the Broken Man and The Banker for its cheeky tune and its ability to make me smile. Well done Adam – a job well done. Look out for gig at Celtic Connections on 2nd February at Celtic Connections https://www.celticconnections.com/events/Pages/event.aspx?ev=1d1fe18c-0df3-4f0e-9f83-a80c011170c0
