We asked Colin of FRAS<\/strong> the following questions.<\/p>\n

Tell us about yourself<\/strong>
\nFRAS have stormed their way through the West coast of Scotland and beyond with their iconic pipe heavy sound. A thundering four piece from na Garbh Chr\u00ecochan of box, flute, pipes and guitar. FRAS blend old melodies and original tunes to create a crashing wave of highland music. Tearing up dance floors in their wake and leaving audiences captivated.<\/p>\n

Why are you involved in Scottish music?<\/strong>
\nTraditional music is part of who we are, we've always been surrounded by it. We unapologetically play the tunes we love in the style which is natural to us.<\/p>\n

Any particular career highlights?<\/strong>
\nThe release of our second album showcasing entirely original tunes, the publicity, tour and warmth of reception which has followed has undoubtedly been a highlight. Being nominated for this award is a real honour, we really appreciate our music being highlighted as worthy of recognition. Thanks!<\/p>\n

What are your plans for the future?<\/strong>
\nIf we could keep playing tunes we love for people who want to hear them we'd be delighted.<\/p>\n
