We asked Craig of Craig Irving – Guitar Instrumentals<\/strong> the following questions.<\/p>\n

Tell us about yourself<\/strong>
\nI'm a guitarist originally from Inverness, now based in Glasgow. I've been playing guitar professionally in the Scottish folk scene for the last six or seven years.<\/p>\n

Why are you involved in Scottish music?<\/strong>
\nI got involved in Scottish music when I was sixteen or seventeen after getting asked to play guitar for a ceilidh when I was in school. After playing at the ceilidh I decided to get involved in the local folk scene in Inverness and it led me to eventually moving to Glasgow and pursuing a career in the genre.<\/p>\n

Any particular career highlights?<\/strong>
\nWinning a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award with Talisk and touring internationally for four years with M\u00e0nran.<\/p>\n

What are your plans for the future?<\/strong>
\nI'm planning to just keep posting plenty of content on TikTok and YouTube to shine a bit more of a light on Celtic style rhythm guitar.<\/p>\n
