We asked Kev of Kev O\u2019Neill<\/strong> the following questions.<\/p>\n

Tell us about yourself<\/strong>
\nIv been a freelance sound engineer for ages! Iv had the privilege of working with some amazing bands, local PA companies and festivals over the years and it never gets boring!<\/span><\/p>\n

Why are you involved in Scottish music?<\/strong>
\nHaving been involved with music forever, playing since I was a wee fella, I see engineering as an extension of that passion and love making trad music sound that wee bit better to the world.<\/p>\n

Any particular career highlights?<\/strong>
\nPretty much every gig has its high or low lights, that\u2019s what keeps it exciting! From some seriously mental festivals to banging village halls and everything else in between, it\u2019s brilliant to be involved with such thriving and vibrant music.<\/p>\n

What are your plans for the future?<\/strong>
\nMore of the same I guess. Iv been out over the past wee while with Imar, Manran, MecLir, and Rura. Not forgetting working with BlackBox Pro Audio on Festivals and numerous venues across Glasgow. Looking forward to what the next year has in store, it\u2019s always a surprise!<\/p>\n

The 2022 MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards are back to normal on the 4th December 2022!
