We asked Anna of Anna Massie<\/strong> the following questions.<\/p>\n

Tell us about yourself<\/strong>
\nI'm a multi-instrumentalist and singer, known for working with Blazin\u2019 Fiddles, RANT and Mairearad Green.<\/p>\n

I've been nominated three times as Best Instrumentalist at the Trad Awards and was thrilled to win the 2021 Trad Music in the Media award for my Black Isle Correspondent efforts.<\/p>\n

I love writing and arranging music, whether it's for studio or stage work. I love working as a producer, helping people find their voices and shaping ideas.<\/p>\n

Why are you involved in Scottish music?<\/strong>
\nI've been involved in Scottish music since I was wee – I just can't imagine it not playing a huge part in my life.<\/p>\n

Any particular career highlights?<\/strong>
\nBeing appointed as Travelling Folk on BBC Radio Scotland is the most recent highlight, and I'm thrilled to be getting stuck in to that. There have been many other highlights over the years, including Hogmanay TV appearances, some wonderful festival appearances and lots of recording work.<\/p>\n

What are your plans for the future?<\/strong>
\nMore of the same hopefully!<\/p>\n

The 2022 MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards are back to normal on the 4th December 2022!
