We asked Peter of Universal Hall<\/strong> the following questions.<\/p>\n

Tell us about yourself<\/strong>
\nUniversal Hall is a 350 seat venue situated within the The Park Ecovillage, Findhorn. We programme a wide range of Music, Dance and Theatre and draw audiences from across Moray and beyond.<\/p>\n

Why are you involved in Scottish music?<\/strong>
\nWe programme all aspects of Scottish music to inspire our local and international audience.<\/p>\n

Any particular career highlights?<\/strong>
\nUniversal Hall changed forever after Mike Scott recorded his Universal Hall album in our recording studio and went on to promote this album around the world encouraging visitors to attend his regular concerts here. In addition to the Waterboys concerts from 2000 to 2005 our highlights are Sweet Honey in the Rock in 1985, Ossian circa 1986, Donovan 2003, Joan Armatrading 2014 and regular visits from Dougie Maclean, Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham and Peatbog Faeries.<\/p>\n

What are your plans for the future?<\/strong>
\nUniversal Hall will continue to showcase the best of Scottish Music.<\/p>\n

The 2022 MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards are back to normal on the 4th December 2022! You will be able to watch it live in person (buy a ticket here<\/a>),Watch it live in the UK at 9pm (GMT) on BBC ALBA and and around the world here<\/a>. Bands performing on Sunday 4th December include Elephant Sessions, Fara, Trip, Eryn Rae Trio, The Auldeners, Gordon Shand Scottish Dance Band, Irish Minstrels, Tayside Young Fiddlers, and a James Alexander Tribute.<\/p>\n
