We asked Charlie of Charlie Mckerron<\/strong> the following questions.<\/p>\n

Tell us about yourself<\/strong>
\nI have been playing Scottish traditional music for over 50 years in bands Capercaillie and Session A9. Through the Feis movement and other organisations, I have also been drawn into the teaching sphere.<\/p>\n

Why are you involved in Scottish music?<\/strong>
\nMy father was a keen fiddle player and certainly inspired me to play the fiddle. His grandson has now inherited one of his fiddles and picked up the traditional cause.<\/p>\n

Any particular career highlights?<\/strong>
\nTouring the world representing Scotland and our traditional music is a real honour for me and I feel very blessed to do this.<\/p>\n

What are your plans for the future?<\/strong>
\nTo release a tune book and a solo album.<\/p>\n

The 2022 MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards are back to normal on the 4th December 2022!
