We asked Bob Gibbon of The Chair the following questions.<\/p>\n

Tell us about yourself<\/strong>
\nThe Chair are an eight piece folk band from Orkney, playing a mixture of high energy dance music and acoustically driven folk.<\/p>\n

Why are you involved in Scottish music?<\/strong>
\nWe've all been playing music together since we were young, influenced by orcadian music right from the beginning. It's ingrained in our psyche. There's nothing else that we're good at.<\/p>\n

Any particular career highlights?<\/strong>
\n1 – Winning a Danny Award at CC 2008
\n2- Robbie cycling fully clothed into a swimming pool in Sark
\n3- Closing Cambridge Folk Festival AFTER The Waterboys.<\/p>\n

What are your plans for the future?<\/strong>
\nKeep playing music, having fun, not taking ourselves too seriously.<\/p>\n

Bands performing on Saturday 4th December include D\u00e0imh, \u00ccmar, Hannah Rarity, Strathspey Day Band and more to be announced. <\/p>\n
