We asked Martin Forry the following questions.<\/p>\n

Tell us about yourself<\/strong>
\nI am a photographer and film maker who has worked for a wide range of organisations, artists, individuals and publications.<\/p>\n

Why are you involved in Scottish music?<\/strong>
\nI have a deep love of traditional music and to work photographing and filming it is an incredible privilege to work with the many musicians and organisations.<\/p>\n

Any particular career highlights?<\/strong>
\nWithin Trad music the challenge of taking the young trad semi-finalist Portraits (12 in an hour and a half).
\nPhotographing Rod Mackenzie’s Hands Up for Trad Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame award at his home with all of his family around him.
\nAnd most gigs at Celtic connections.<\/p>\n

What are your plans for the future?<\/strong>
\nCreate more landscape images and capture more images of the fantastic musicians in the trad scene.<\/p>\n

The results of the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Industry Awards will be announced the week of 2nd December online at http:\/\/www.scotstradmusicawards.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bands performing on Saturday 7th December include Skerryvore, Session A9, Benedict Morris (BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Award Winner 2019), Heisk, Aberdeenshire Youth Band, Sian, Robyn Stapleton, Mairi Campbell and the Pendulum Band, Susan MacFadyen Scottish Dance Band and more to be announced. There will also be a late night ceilidh after the Awards till 1am.<\/p>\n
