today<\/a>, Tuesday 5th November until Friday 22nd November, for this year\u2019s winners across 16 categories including Album Of The Year, Composer Of The Year, Venue Of The Year and Gaelic Singer Of The Year, by logging online at www.scotstradmusicawards.com\/voting. The winner of each category will be the artist who receives an equal combination of the most industry and fan votes.<\/p>\nOver the past 11 years the awards, produced by Hands Up for Trad, have celebrated and seen performances by some of the finest Scottish traditional musicians and bands including Barbara Dickson, Peatbog Faeries, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Karine Polwart.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s notable nominees include Tiree Music Festival which has been nominated for Event of the Year Sponsored by VisitScotland. It has been a momentous year for the festival which sold out in record time \u2013 tripling the population of Tiree over the festival weekend, has been crowned \u2018Best Cultural Event\u2019 at the\u00a0Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards and \u2018Best Small Festival\u2019 for the second year in a row at the Scottish Event Awards. It has also been announced that the festival will be extended to three days in 2014.<\/p>\n
