We asked David Halcrow of David Halcrow Band the following questions.<\/p>\n

Tell us about yourself<\/strong>
\nThe David Halcrow Band is based in the Shetland Isles at the north tip of Scotland.
\nThe six members are,
\nDavid Halcrow , Accordion
\nIain Williamson , Fiddle
\nMargaret Robertson , Piano
\nAlan Nicolson , Harmony Accordion
\nGraham Malcolmson, Double Bass
\nGraham Jamieson , Drums
\nWe have played together for several years and draw our influences from
\nvaried musical genres of Scottish Dance, Folk & Traditional styles found in abundance in the Isles.<\/p>\n

Why are you involved in Scottish music?<\/strong>
\nEach member of the band and myself was brought up surrounded in the Traditional music.
\nI remember at an early age some of the sessions that was held at our house, and being inspired by the visiting musicians and friends different styles of music.<\/p>\n

Any particular career highlights?<\/strong>
\nIt's hard to pick a specific highlight but I would say one is when we launched our debut CD at the 30th Shetland Accordion & Fiddle Festival in October this year, and another was taking part in a concert at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow at Celtic Connections.<\/p>\n

What are your plans for the future?<\/strong>
\nWe are hoping to carry on playing and composing at every opportunity to support the Traditional Music.<\/p>\n
