We asked Iain MacLeod of Bees Nees Media the following questions.<\/p>\n

Tell us about yourself<\/strong>
\nBees Nees is a media production company, equally at home producing single camera documentaries, through to live multi-camera entertainment shows. We produced more than 50 hours of broadcast television annually, ranging from music award shows, live event coverage, lifestyle formats and factual documentaries. Our development team creates fresh programme ideas and exciting formats fit for today\u2019s multi-screen viewers. We seek out and nurture new talent, both in front of and behind the camera while producing shows that will entertain and educate audiences of all ages across the world.\u00a0 Bees Nees are also Scotland\u2019s most successful independent radio producer, delivering over 400 hours of radio shows annually for the last 10 years.<\/p>\n

Why are you involved in Scottish music?<\/strong>
\nBees Nees are passionate about all genres of music but we have produced hundreds of broadcast hours of traditional music, working with broadcasters BBC ALBA, BBC Scotland, TG4 and S4C and partners such as Hands Up For Trad and Celtic Connections and festival organisers across the UK and overseas.<\/p>\n

Any particular career highlights?<\/strong>
\nThere are too many highlights to mention. We have annual highlights, such as Na Trads, which we love producing, and we are also proud of music programmes like Seirm, Port and our Celtic Connections output.<\/p>\n

What are your plans for the future?<\/strong>
\nOur immediate plans are to produce another successful MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards, before creating new programmes with talented musicians at Celtic Connections and beyond.<\/p>\n
