We asked Gary Innes of Gary Innes the following questions.<\/p>\n

Tell us about yourself<\/strong>
\nI am an accordionist from the Highland village of Spean Bridge, ex shinty player turned commentator and presenter of 'Take the Floor'. I can usually be found playing with my musical buddy in crime, Ewen Henderson, M\u00e0nran and more recently this year with ERA, after releasing my new solo album of the same name. If you haven't heard it yet, it's definitely worth ripping off one of your pals that has it 🙂<\/p>\n

Why are you involved in Scottish music?<\/strong>
\nI am involved in Scottish music because for me there is no better job in the world for craic and a carry on. We're all a mental bunch, but you wouldn't change it.<\/p>\n

Any particular career highlights?<\/strong>
\nCareer highlights include performing at a World Peace Concert at the Roman Theatre in Amman, Jordan with a host of LA's top session musicians and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. I've also been fortunate enough to headline a number of festivals at home and abroad with M\u00e0nran which is always the dogs danglies and jumping up for a tune with my boyhood heroes Runrig over the years have definitely been highlights.<\/p>\n

What are your plans for the future?<\/strong>
\nJust to keep her lit, full steam ahead Macphail!<\/p>\n
