\"john_barrow\"<\/a>The MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards were held in Dumfries DG One on the 28th November 2009. Performing at the Awards were\u00a0The Treacherous Orchestra, Barbara Dickson, Donnie Munro Band, Emily Smith Band, Deaf Shepherd, Scottish Power Pipe Band, Norrie MacIver and Ruari Sutherland with Ross Ainslie and Jarlath Henderson, Ruairidh MacMillian (2009 BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Award winner), Koda, Skipinnish, Lori Watson and Margaret Bennett. Our comperes were\u00a0BBC Scotland’s Mary Ann Kennedy and Tony Kearney. Also that weekend BBC Radio Scotland’s Take the Floor broadcast on the Friday night and we had\u00a0a small film festival running in Robert Burns Film Theatre featuring films with Scottish traditional music.<\/p>\n
