We asked Keir of Keir Long the following questions.

Tell us about yourself

I am a sound engineer that works consistently within the folk music industry!

I've worked with a fair few recognised musical acts and toured with a few over the years including Talisk, Kinnnaris Quintet, Gnoss, Niteworks, Megan Henderson, Breabach, Beth Malcolm, Brighde Chaimbeul, and more recently, Spodo Komodo.

In early years, I worked with PA companies that were involved in the folk music scene and eventually worked my way up the ladder so I could work with some of the people named above.

Any particular career highlights?

I have good memories of touring with all the folk I've worked with tbh but I spent a lot of time with both Breabach and Niteworks and there are too many times with those two groups of people in particular that have been amazing and stupidly funny.

What are your plans for the future?

Hopefully I'll still get asked along by people to work for them and see how long I can stay in the game!
