I’m also a director of Showcase Scotland Expo, supporting Scottish artists to develop their careers and reach new audiences.

I’ve also been producer of the Orkney Folk Festival since 2022, leading on artistic direction and bringing together musicians and audiences from across the world while celebrating Orkney’s own rich musical culture and community. Across these roles, I’m passionate about supporting artists and strengthening connections between musicians, audiences and the wider music industry.

Any particular career highlights?
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work with CCM Live has been being part of the team supporting artists as their careers develop, helping them build sustainable careers across multiple markets. When artists do well internationally, it raises awareness of Scotland’s traditional music scene as a whole, helping open doors for other artists and creating opportunities that benefit the wider industry. Being part of that collective progress is a real highlight.

The Orkney Folk Festival has been part of my life since I was very young, first as a musician and volunteer, then as a committee member from 2007 and producer from 2022. Leading the festival into its 40th anniversary year in 2023, when it won Event of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards, was a very proud moment. The role is about giving back to a festival that gave me so much, while celebrating Orkney’s musical culture and welcoming artists from around the world.

Having been part of the Showcase Scotland team for the past decade, being appointed producer from 2027 onwards is a particularly meaningful step. The event has played an important role in my own career, helping me build relationships and networks across the international music industry. I’m looking forward to building on that experience, continuing to develop Showcase Scotland in response to the needs and opportunities of the industry, and bringing international music professionals to Celtic Connections to discover Scottish talent and create opportunities for our artists around the world.

What are your plans for the future?
Looking ahead, I want to continue supporting artists to build sustainable careers, develop new audiences and create opportunities across different markets. With CCM Live, that means continuing to work closely with artists and their teams as their careers develop. At Showcase Scotland and the Orkney Folk Festival, I’m looking forward to building on what’s already been achieved, bringing new ideas and continuing to deliver events that make a real difference. Throughout it all, I want to keep celebrating the distinctive character of Scotland’s music, how it connects to the world, and the places, communities and people it comes from.

Craig Corse Social Media
Website: http://www.ccmlive.co.uk

Instagram: @ccmlivemusic

Listen to music: http://

The 2026 MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards are on the 5th December 2026 in Paisley Arena, Lagoon Centre!
