We asked Calum of Fell Line<\/strong> the following questions.<\/p>\n

Tell us about yourself<\/strong>
\nFell Line are an award-winning Glasgow-based folk trio featuring Chlo\u00eb Bryce (Lewis McLaughlin), Megan MacDonald (Eabhal, HEISK), and Calum McIlroy (BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician 2024). Hailing from Tain, Lairg, and Aberdeenshire respectively, they blend fiddle, accordion, guitar, and their voices to present an array of intricate tunes and delicate songs.<\/p>\n

Off the back of winning Battle of the Folk Bands at Celtic Connections 2024, they went on to appear on festival stages across Scotland and beyond, including Blas Festival, Scots Fiddle Festival, and the National Celtic Festival of Australia.<\/p>\n

The name \u201cFell Line\u201d is taken from a weaving term and refers to the many interlinking parts offered up by each of the three musicians. The trio have just finished recording their debut album, which will be released in early 2027.<\/p>\n

Any particular career highlights?<\/strong>
\nWe have been fortunate enough to play at some lovely festivals all over Scotland and beyond – some of our favourites include Ce\u00f2l Cholasa, Scots Fiddle Festival, and the National Celtic Festival of Australia – and this year we embarked on our first tour together for the Young Scots Trad Awards Winner Tour in Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland and Lichtenstein.<\/p>\n

What are your plans for the future?<\/strong>
\nWe have just finished recording our debut album, and we are really excited to share it early next year. We have some exciting gigs lined up and are pleased to be touring in Austria in March, and Germany in October!<\/p>\n
