We asked George Burns of Burns Brothers Ceilidh Band the following questions.<\/p>\n

Tell us about yourself<\/strong>
\nThe Burns Brothers Ceilidh Band Accreditations:
\n\u2022 John was the Scottish accordion champion in 1999
\n\u2022 John and George have both won the Oban individual accordion championship
\n\u2022 Both John and George have won several championships for their own musical compositions
\n\u2022 John and George won the Will Starr memorial trophy several years ago playing as a duo.
\n\u2022 The band has played on several occasions for B.B.C. Radio Scotland’s “Take the floor”
\n\u2022The Band have played as guests at the Shetland Accordion and Fiddle Festival on several occasions.<\/p>\n

Why are you involved in Scottish music?<\/strong>
\nPlaying in our Ceilidh band gives us the opportunity let others hear the music we love.<\/p>\n

Any particular career highlights?<\/strong>
\nPlaying as a dance band on “Take the floor”
\nPlaying in New York<\/p>\n

What are your plans for the future?<\/strong>
\nTo keep Scottish Dance Music alive by letting as many people as possible hear out Band.<\/p>\n
