{"id":1405,"date":"2015-03-17T23:03:41","date_gmt":"2015-03-17T23:03:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/scotstradmusicawards\/?page_id=1405"},"modified":"2026-11-01T22:49:50","modified_gmt":"2026-11-01T22:49:50","slug":"album-of-the-year","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/scotstradmusicawards\/album-of-the-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Trad Album of the Year"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/scotstradmusicawards\/view\/album-of-the-year-2026\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"9528\"><strong>Read about and listen to the shortlisted Trad Albums 2026<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our aim of the trad recording industry is showcase&nbsp;the large&nbsp;amount of albums that are released each year in the trad\/folk music&nbsp;genre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>New albums can be submitted after 5th December 2026.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Albums eligible for entry are those released between September&nbsp;2025 and&nbsp;August 2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The longlist will be decided by an industry panel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The shortlist (10 releases) will be decided&nbsp;by 50% industry panel and 50% public.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The winner will be decided by a public vote.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An album is a collection of new material. Collections including greatest hits and live are not eligible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Albums can be on CD or download only.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An album must have more than 6 tracks or 35 mins of material.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only albums within the folk \/ trad genre are eligible for this award.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Albums must be releases by an artist living in Scotland for 1 year or Scottish by birth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Decisions made by Hands Up for Trad are final.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Read about and listen to the shortlisted Trad Albums 2026 Our aim of the trad recording industry is showcase&nbsp;the large&nbsp;amount of albums that are released each year in the trad\/folk music&nbsp;genre.
