We asked Daniel Gillespie of SKERRYVORE the following questions.
Tell us about yourself
Celebrating 15 years as a band in 2020, Skerryvore have evolved from the 4 piece Ceilidh band formed on Tiree in 2005 to one of Scotland’s most successful international touring acts with performances in over 30 countries worldwide.
Why are you involved in Scottish music?
We are very proud Scots and are driven to share our music and culture with the world
Any particular career highlights?
Achieving our first event official number 1 during lockdown with Everyday Heroes is something we are all very proud of and will always remember as a highlight. The creation of our own festival Oban Live also is something that we are very proud of.
What are your plans for the future?
Hopefully back on tour in 2021! Until then, we have a new song coming very soon and also a follow up live stream, a social media series and other digital content.
