New solo electric guitar music inspired by stories and experience of landscape, exploration and human endurance. This work demonstrates rich connections between the world of Scottish traditional music and the broader worlds of jazz, folk, rock and classical music.

Scottish traditional music links include sunlight shimmering on water on the edge of Cairngorms national park, piobaireachd traditional music, a tune composed for the Dee and Don Ceilidh Collective, and the album launch event location at RRS Discovery, Dundee. Other inspiration includes the Antarctic expedition southern journey of 1902-3, midwinter celebrations, Gustav Holst's masterpiece Egdon Heath, and experiences in remote places.

Positive reviews include those from FATEA, RNR Magazine, folking, Bebop Spoken Here and Bluesbunny. Tracks have featured on jazz, folk and roots radio programmes across the UK. The music featured in Guitar Discovery at artSpace@StMarks (Fringe Venue 215) as part of the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
