Scotland Sings continue their exciting harmony singing Renewing The Tradition project where contemporary songwriters have been asked to take inspiration from Robert Burns\u2019 life and works and write a brand new contemporary song. <\/p>\n

The songs are then arranged for harmony singing and taught at our February workshops by some of Scotland\u2019s best workshop leaders. The workshops are for anyone who loves to sing: beginners and more experienced. The songs and harmonies will be taught slowly by ear although participants are welcome to take music home with them. <\/p>\n

This year\u2019s songs bring ballast to the project with A Fork in the Road from Eric Bogle (And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda) and the very Burnsian \u2013 in its theme and outlook \u2013 Handwash Feein\u2019 Mairket from one of Scotland\u2019s foremost songwriters Rab Noakes. Amy Lord will lead the workshop in Birnam.<\/p>\n
