She was born in Glasgow and moved to Kirriemuir, Angus when she was 9. Ailis is an experienced piper having played in pipe [&hellip;] <br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/scotlandsings\/link-pages\/ailis-sutherland\/\" title=\"Read more\">Read more<\/a><\/p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/scotlandsings\/link-pages\/amy-leach\/\">Amy Leach<\/a><\/strong><p>Amy Leach is a young Scots singer from Edinburgh, now studying on the Folk and Traditional Music Degree at Newcastle University.\u00a0\u00a0She grew up singing Scots Song through the Edinburgh Youth [&hellip;] <br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/scotlandsings\/link-pages\/amy-leach\/\" title=\"Read more\">Read more<\/a><\/p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/scotlandsings\/link-pages\/gillian-fleetwood\/\">Gillian Fleetwood<\/a><\/strong><p>Gillian Fleetwood is taking part in our Paths to Songs project and is working with singer Ellen Mitchell. Second time semi-finalist in the BBC radio Scotland young traditional musician of the year [&hellip;] <br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/scotlandsings\/link-pages\/linzi-murphy\/\" title=\"Read more\">Read more<\/a><\/p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/scotlandsings\/link-pages\/natalie-chalmers\/\">Natalie Chalmers<\/a><\/strong><p>Twenty year old Natalie, from Fraserburgh, started singing Traditional and Bothy Ballads at concerts and festivals when she was about 7 years old, when her sister Gillian was competing and [&hellip;] <br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/scotlandsings\/link-pages\/natalie-chalmers\/\" title=\"Read more\">Read more<\/a><\/p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/scotlandsings\/link-pages\/robert-paterson\/\">Robert Paterson<\/a><\/strong><p>Robert Paterson is a Scottish contemporary musician and singer songwriter living and studying on Skye, at Sabhal Mor Ostaig. \u00a0Studying Gaelic on the cursa comais. Prior to studying in Sleat [&hellip;] <br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/scotlandsings\/link-pages\/robert-paterson\/\" title=\"Read more\">Read more<\/a><\/p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/scotlandsings\/link-pages\/sinead-leach\/\">Sinead Leach<\/a><\/strong><p>Sinead Leach is a student from Edinburgh studying Arabic and International Relations at the University of St Andrews.
