SUMMARY:Choir Leaders’ Networking Weekend
DESCRIPTION:We hope you will be able to join us at the 5th networking weekend for Scottish community choir and singing group leaders at Comrie Croft in Perthshire. \nThe weekend is open to anyone who leads a choir or facilitates singing in some way e.g. choirs\, workshops\, schools\, house groups. The emphasis is on teaching and learning aurally and recordings will be made and shared of everything taught over the weekend.  \nOver the weekend we will be joined by Pauline Down who will provide practical tools and techniques for self development and inspiration: identify the gaps in your knowledge and decide the best way forward for your work: remain energised and motivated while often working in isolation; use a mentoring framework successfully with tangible results. The training day will be interspersed with songs and rhythm games. \nAs well a voice teacher\, singer\, performer and composer\, Pauline is a hugely experienced trainer who runs regional workshops with natural voice practitioners across the UK looking at how they can get the most out of mentoring each other and being part of a network. \nAlongside this training\, there will be plenty of opportunities for singing together throughout the weekend. This is a wonderful opportunity to take time out from your own practice and to be nurtured and nourished. \nThe weekend costs £125 (£75 concession)\, which includes accommodation\, training and basic food. In order to keep costs to a minimum\, we ask participants to bring luxuries to share during mealtimes\, such as cake\, chocolate and wine and to help out with laying the table\, washing the dishes and tidying up.  \nAs we did last year\, we have a small number of £50 bursaries for those travelling a long distance to Comrie. Please contact Alison Burns before you book on alison@aliburns.co.uk if you would like to take advantage of one of them.  \nBookings can be made here: https://comrie-croft-weekend.eventbrite.co.uk
