This Autumn from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th October, Hands up For Trad will hold their second Adult Tinto Summer School. Everyone age 18+ is welcome for a weekend of great music, sessions, great food and the opportunity to learn from some of Scotland’s finest musicians. The weekend will involve learning tunes as well as learning from each other and will include significant opportunity to group work (both in large and small groups). The results of the group work sessions are always outstanding! Music will be taught primarily by ear. If you are under 25 there is an opportunity to get a scholarship to the event.
This year’s tutors are fiddler Dan Thorpe, singer Siobhan Miller and guitarist Mark Neal. On Saturday night we will have a concert from Siobhan Miller and Aaron Jones at 8pm in Wiston Lodge.
Accommodation is dorm-based and we ask you to be as flexible as possible with this. If you need to discuss then please get in touch and we will do our best to find a satisfactory option. Wiston Lodge is an incredibly welcoming and relaxed place to be and a great time will be had!
