Hands Up for Trad launches the 2016 Gaelic and Scots songwriting competition: Nòs Ùr (New Style), in partnership with Creative Scotland on Tuesday March 1st 2016.
Gaelic and Scot’s Song writers, Singers and groups are invited to submit a new and original song in either language which will then be considered by an industry panel.
The winning song will be professionally arranged and recorded before being made available on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify and Google Play. It will also be included in our Renewing the Tradition on-line resource of songs and arrangements for singers.
The closing date for entries is Monday 1st May 2016 and we can confirm that all the entries will be made available on Hands Up for Trad’s website www.musichub.scot. Musichub.
