More news coming in this week from one of this year’s winning choirs in our Chorus Awards 2016. This time from Edinburgh Singers, winners in our Inspirational Year category.
Rachmaninov All – Night Vigil sometimes known as the Rachmaninov Vespers, this setting of the eastern Orthodox vigil was one of the composer’s favourites among his own works, and is widely considered to be his greatest. Under the baton of Musical Director Alistair Digges, the group will be performing the entirety of this breathtakingly beautiful unaccompanied piece, including both the evening Vespers and the morning Matins on 12th November in Edinburgh’s St Mary’s Cathedral.
Audience members are invited to join them after the performance for a complimentary glass of wine. Have a look at our What’s On page for all details.
