  8. George Donaldson has been singing in pubs in Scotland for many years, and is now part of Celtic Thunder, which is currently touring in North America. George sings a variety of songs, including traditional Celtic tunes. He has been singing at Jinty McGuinty’s in Glasgow’s West End for 20 years, whenever he is home. George has released 2 albums, The White Rose and The World in My Mind, which include many original songs. A master storyteller, he is overdue for recognition in his beloved Scotland!

  11. So much great music represented in these awards-they are all winners in my book. I have been fortunate to host many of these musicians while they were touring in Chicago. I especially enjoyed meeting Scott Wood when he was here this past summer with Manran. Love his cd. Fiona Hunter is a particular favorite of my- brillliant new solo album

  15. I was privileged to hear George Donaldson perform his solo act AND with Celtic Thunder this past week while on the Celtic Thunder Cruise. What a powerful performance his solo act was! The patrons of Jinty McGinty’s in Glasgow are lucky. George is an amazing performer. I gladly cast my vote for him!
