Cumbernauld Gaelic Choir was formed in 1969. In the early days many of the original members were Gaelic speaking Highlanders who had moved to Partick and from there to Cumbernauld. These days the choir members are made up of a mixture of Gaelic speakers, Gaelic learners and those who enjoy the music.
The choir is conducted by Mary MacLean, a former Mod Gold Medalist and the Gaelic tutor is Mary Ann Brown from Harris.
Rehearsals take place at 7.30 p.m on Monday evenings in Kildrum Primary School, Ellisland Road, Kildrum, Cumbernauld, G67 2HQ.
