Cèilidh nan Amhráin is an open song-sharing session every Friday
evening. We work on Gaelic songs from the Irish and Scottish
traditions, concentrating on group singing. You don’t need to speak
Gaelic, everything is shared phonetically with an emphasis on the
rhythm of phrases and music. Through the songs, the history of Gaelic
Scotland and Ireland bubbles up for discussion and further learning.
Cèilidh nan Amhráin is an ALP (Adult Learning Project) group, open
to all at no charge and led by Déirdre Ní Mhathúna.
Come sing with us, it’s a great way to end the week and participate
in Scotland Sings!
