We have lot’s of brilliant events from Perth, to Shetland…. to Australia, and there is still time for you to take part!
The BBC Award Community Music Day in Dundee is a family event for all ages with masterclasses, workshops, concerts and recitals and is well worth checking out.
The Scottish Storytelling Centre have a great event for Refugee Week Scotland, “Throughout history immigrants to Scotland have helped shape the richness and diversity of its culture. If you have a story to tell about Scotland becoming your home, or you would like to hear the stories of others, come share experiences in a day rich in resources, creative approaches and fresh insights into the immigrant’s experience.”
In Perth Horsecross Glee Juniors, S1-6, GleeXtra, and Glé will take to the stage to perform new songs and pieces they’ve been working on for the last year. Joining them are the Perth Musicbox project from MacDiarmid Park.
Singing Saturdays are putting on a lovely show for Scotland Sings up in Shetland: “Join us for an eco-musical, Along Came Man by Lin Marsh, in Mareel on the 22nd June at 1pm. Singing seamink, dodos, wallabys and great auks will all be performing on the stage, alongside the Spirit of the Earth.”
