At last it is ready for the Universe to see and hear. The School of Celtic and Scottish Studies will be launching the ‘Greig-Duncan Online Song‘ project on YouTube and the University Website, on the 20th June. As part of her ‘Residency’ work at the School, Frieda Morrison has filmed 17 singers, singing 34 songs from the Greig-Duncan Collection. Frieda Says: “It features stunning performances from the participants and it is a very magical series of songs and singers on film, that will enchant the world”.
Singers are: Aileen Carr, Jo Miller, Alison McMorland, Geordie McIntyre, The Spiers Family, Lucy Pringle, Steve Byrne, Siobhan Miller, Brian Miller, David Francis, Mhari Campbell, Scott Gardiner, Kath Campbell, Frieda Morrison, Brian Miller.
Frieda concludes: “It’s been a long time coming but a big thank you to all who have been involved in making this very special project possible – especially Stuart Robinson my fellow camera person and editor. Let the world see the treasures we have…. the 21st century enters the Archive.”
