The Feral Choir is looking forward to its seasonal Forgotten Carols performances, where they’ll bring to life songs and stories that have been handed down through the generations.
The programme includes a mediaeval version of The Holly and the Ivy and a tale of Robin Redbreast written by Robert Burns.
“Some of the stories behind the carols and songs I’ve found are extraordinary,” says Feral Choir’s conductor, Alison Burns. “I’ve composed music for a carol written for a Sunday Times competition in the 1940s, as well as discovering songs from the pub carol singing tradition in the Peak District.”
The performances will feature a wide variety of music and we’re delighted to be joined by reader Tom Pow, soloist Polly Bolton and harpist Irene Watt. All tickets are £10.
