A concert with a focus on music written in memory of others. The works span five centuries from the Baroque period right up to the present day, and specifically, 2014!
Includes memorial pieces by Buxtehude, Beethoven, Goodall and Whitacre, but the highlight of the programme will be the world premiere performance of a brand new work, Requiem, written by Cunninghame Choir’s own talented accompanist, Maciej Granat. In memory of his aunt and childhood piano teacher, Maciej has composed a work to match the strengths and talents of Cunninghame Choir. This should be a very special performance!
