Everyone can sing - why not get involved!
This is the 140th Anniversary of the formation of Ayr Choral Union – one of Scotland oldest choirs with a continuous history as an organisation since October 1876. They are performing a Celebration Concert of their “greatest hits” on Sunday, October 30 2016, with some of their favourite soloists – Marie Claire Breen, (Soprano), Cheryl Forbes (Alto) Andrew McTaggart (Baritone) ,and Gordon Cree on the organ. The programme, compiled from intensive research by their archivists, has something for everyone – including an exciting new James MacMillian premier performance written for the choir – and birthday cake, fizz and an exhibition of memorabilia are all included in the ticket price.
