We asked Corrina Hewat 5 quick questions in the run-up to her workshop in Traquair on Saturday 11th November. This is what she said….
- How would you describe your teaching in 3 words? Smiley rollicking symphoniousness
- Can you tell us about one of the songs you’ll be teaching at the workshop? I’m going to tackle a new wordless song in response to Olafur Arnalds Islands songs – new territory for me!
- What are you most looking forward to at Traquair? Happy people, good coffee & cake and beautiful music.
- Who would you most like to sing with or compose for? I’d love to sing/compose for: Bjork / Chris Thile / Pat Metheny / Anais Mitchell / Paul Buchanan / Liz Fraser / Avishai Cohen / Herbie Hancock / Yo-Yo Ma / Brad Meldhau / my mum.
- What has been your favourite singing experience? Singing with Bobby McFerrin
