We had a lovely time in Aiberdeen presenting Robbie Shepherd with his Landmark Award<\/b><\/a>. What an amazing career! Robbie’s voice is so memorable! In fact Robbie told us on the day that the Saturday before he went down to his local hostelry to watch the football and he ended up sitting beside an Irish man. Robbie asked him where he was from and he said Eniskillen. Robbie went on to tell him on the many Irish musicians he knew and the person said – “Is it? Is it? Are you Robbie Shepherd??” So many folks know his Doric tones. Watch the video of Robbie’s presentation here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For the presentation we were very lucky to have Geordie Murison, Joe Aitken and Jim Taylor who came along to sing Robbie’s favourite songs. Joyce Murison also wrote him a poem which I recited. Here’s the poem!<\/p>\n
