Read below to find out more about them.<\/p>\n<p>David is a fiddle player and composer, working as a freelance musician in a variety of genres across the arts.&nbsp; Originally from Fife, David studied at the Junior Royal Conservatoire of Scotland followed by a Bachelors in Music Degree at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.&nbsp; His work has seen him tour the UK and New Zealand, and appear on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio Wales, Folk Radio UK, and Radio NZ.&nbsp; Within the last year he has been selected for the Danny Kyle Open Stage at Celtic Connections and the Bath Folk Festival: New Shoots Competition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<i>Emotionally charged and touching\u2026 Highly melodious, appealingly catchy, even hypnotic at times<\/i>\u201d (The Living Tradition).&nbsp; David\u2019s unique brand of composition amalgamates folk, jazz, blues and classical, all underpinned by his Scottish traditional roots.&nbsp; From a riot of galloping beats and strings, to melancholic, reflective and haunting melodies the next, the music weaves and wanders a remarkable journey through imagined soundscapes.&nbsp; David\u2019s critically acclaimed debut title \u2018High Rise\u2019 &#8211; released in 2014 &#8211; was described as <i>\u201can album of wondrous beauty\u201d<\/i> (Folk Radio UK) and <i>\u201cevery bit as engaging and enjoyable as the acknowledged master\u201d <\/i>(fRoots).<\/p>\n<p>David is currently collaborating with The Jones Collective and Motherlode theatre companies as devisor, composer and performer on their future projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Check out David Grubb&#8217;s music <a href=\"http:\/\/musichub.scot\/blog\/author\/davidgrubb\/\">here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Check out David Grubb&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidgrubb.co.uk\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>David Grubb is a composer with compositions uploaded to MusicHub.
