Learners are one of the most important sectors of the Gaelic-speaking community and this award will recognise outstanding effort by individuals or organisations. The award could also go to groups or organisations who reach out to learners, devise new methods of teaching or entertaining learners.<\/p>\n<p><b>Arts &amp; Culture Award&nbsp;<\/b>Sponsored by Creative Scotland<\/p>\n<p>For the most outstanding contribution to Gaelic culture 2015-16. The award can cover literature, poetry, music, visual art, theatre, best production, film or television.<\/p>\n<p><b>Event Award&nbsp;<\/b>Sponsored by B\u00f2rd na G\u00e0idhlig<\/p>\n<p>For the best Gaelic language event, one-off or regular, that has taken place in 2015-16 The award can go to a long established event.<\/p>\n<p><b>Community, Heritage &amp; Tourism Award<\/b><\/p>\n<p>For the group, organisation, village or school community who have done most to celebrate their heritage in&nbsp;2015-16. The award could cover things like interpretive exhibitions and village walks.<\/p>\n<p><b>Best Contribution Award<\/b><\/p>\n<p>For the individual or organisation who has done the most for Gaelic. This could be an award for outstanding achievement but the category should be wide enough to include outstanding potential. As well as recognising those who have been promoting Gaelic for years and deserve credit, it allows the celebration of those who have broken new ground in the language.<\/p>\n<p><b>International Award<\/b><\/p>\n<p>For the individual, event or organisation that best places Gaelic in an international, non-English speaking context.<\/p>\n<p><b>Innovation in Education Award<\/b><\/p>\n<p>For the service providers or students showing the best ideas and commitment to delivering Gaelic education.
