We want to encourage applicants to generate great ideas and projects that we can then help them to make happen.<\/p>\n<p>These ideas can fall within a broad spectrum of activity, and Open Project Funding will support:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Projects that develop skills or artistic practice<\/li>\n<li>Projects that create something new and of high quality<\/li>\n<li>Projects which either present work to audiences, or which try to develop and reach new audiences (including those hard to reach)<\/li>\n<li>Projects which encourage more people to get involved in artistic and creative activity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Support will be available for activity and projects of different size and scale \u2013 and for up to 2 years in duration.<\/p>\n<p>Who can apply<\/p>\n<p>Open Project Funding is open to both individuals and organisations to apply to.<\/p>\n<p>Budget available<\/p>\n<p>For 2015\/16, the overall budget will be around \u00a310.5m<\/p>\n<p>You can apply for funding from \u00a31,000 to \u00a3100,000. We will also consider applications up to \u00a3150,000 by exception and only with prior written approval.<\/p>\n<p>Deadlines and turnaround times<\/p>\n<p>Open Project Funding is a continuous programme, meaning that you can make an application at any time throughout the year and there are no deadlines (the deadline listed at the top of this entry &#8211; 31st March 2016 is merely a note of the end of the financial year, not a deadline for the fund).<\/p>\n<p>You will however need to allow enough time between when you apply and when you plan to start your project to allow Creative Scotland to undertake the assessment of your proposal.<\/p>\n<p>For applications up to \u00a315,000<br \/>\nDecisions will take up to 8 working weeks from the date we receive your application form.<\/p>\n<p>For applications over \u00a315,000<br \/>\nDecisions will take up to 12 working weeks from the date we receive your application form<\/p>\n<p>For applications over \u00a3100,000 (up to a maximum of \u00a3150,000)<br \/>\nYou will need to seek prior approval from Creative Scotland before applying.
