{"id":6053,"date":"2016-02-09T11:14:36","date_gmt":"2016-02-09T11:14:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/handsupfortrad\/?p=6053"},"modified":"2016-02-09T11:14:36","modified_gmt":"2016-02-09T11:14:36","slug":"creative-scotland-are-looking-for-peer-reviewers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/handsupfortrad\/creative-scotland-are-looking-for-peer-reviewers\/","title":{"rendered":"Creative Scotland Are Looking For Peer Reviewers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Creative Scotland has developed an Artistic and Creative Review Framework to create an open dialogue with our Regularly Funded Organisations (RFOs) around the artistic and creative quality of their work.<\/p>\n<p>We will do this through a process enabling 3 perspectives on the work of the 118 RFOs<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Self review (by the RFO)<\/li>\n<li>Creative Scotland review (by Creative Scotland\u2019s Lead Officer for the RFO)<\/li>\n<li>Peer review (by independent, relevant expertise from the sector)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are now seeking a pool of Peer Reviewers from the arts, screen and creative industries sector with professional expertise and knowledge of the following art forms\/areas:<\/p>\n<p>Craft<br \/>\nDance<br \/>\nDigital<br \/>\nFilm<br \/>\nLiterature, Publishing and Languages<br \/>\nMusic<br \/>\nTheatre<br \/>\nVisual Arts<\/p>\n<p>The range of activity to be reviewed<\/p>\n<p>The range of activity to be reviewed will include work which is produced or presented &#8211; such as performances, exhibitions, festivals activity and programmes, events etc. Due to the varied nature and range of RFOs\u2019 work it will also include activity that takes place in more participatory settings (i.e. in a healthcare, education, or criminal justice setting), as well as activity which has more of a sector development or infrastructure support focus.<\/p>\n<p>What we\u2019re looking for from a Peer Reviewer<\/p>\n<p>The experience and expertise of the Peer Reviewers needs to reflect the different types of work, scale and range of art forms. We are looking to recruit independent, professional reviewers with sufficient availability and flexibility to respond to this opportunity<\/p>\n<p>Peer reviewers will initially be contracted until 31 March 2017. They will be required to provide a professional, informed, honest, credible, and insightful review of the agreed selected work\/activity.<\/p>\n<p>The estimated requirement is for each Peer Reviewer to carry out an average of 6 reviews in the year from April 2016 (although it may be more or less than this). The activity to be reviewed may take place anywhere in Scotland (and in some instances may take place beyond Scotland).
