Learn and share Scots and Gaelic traditional song, music and dance in a beautiful hill town in Tuscany. C\u00e0irdeas nam Piobairean, Hamish Moore\u2019s fellowship of pipers, is delighted to announce a week-long School with world class tutors from Scotland and Cape Breton.<\/p>\n

Fees:<\/p>\n
The course fee for all participants is \u00a3250, which covers the full week\u2019s tuition.
\nTravel, accommodation and meals are not included.<\/p>\n
Schedule:<\/p>\n
The School runs from Monday 19th to Friday 23rd September 2016. Each day\u2019s tuition will include classes of your first and second choice plus an integrated class at the end of each day. A tutors concert will take place on one of the evenings.<\/p>\n
Location:<\/p>\n
Barga dates back a thousand years and is a walled hill town of astounding beauty. As well as being surrounded by natural, spectacular mountain scenery its architectural glory is a joy and its narrow streets and lanes make pedestrian transport the norm. Accommodation and Travel:<\/p>\n
We have secured up to 32 places at the Villa Gherardi Hostel, at a very reasonable price of 25 Euros per person per night, including breakfast. Please contact Adele Pierotti directly to enquire about accommodation at the hostel: adelepierotti@yahoo.it<\/p>\n
Alternatively, Barga is well served with excellent self-catering accommodation properties.<\/p>\n
The nearest airports are Florence and Pisa. Barga is around 1.5 hours drive from either airport. Depending on your arrival time, there may be opportunities to share transport from the airport with other participants \u2013 please see our Facebook page nearer the time.<\/p>\n
