\"strathspey\"Next Saturday 23rd January Aidan O’Rourke, Shona Mooney, Jenn Austin and Simon Thoumire have written four new pieces of music for Aidan and Simon’s project Strathspey and Surreal Society. They have assembled an amazing set of fiddlers to perform the music and it will be conducted by Dave Milligan. They had their first rehearsal last Tuesday and the music is sounding great. You can’t beat 21 fiddles playing together. The gig is on the Saturday 23rd January at 1pm in Glasgow Royal Concert Hall Main Auditorium. It would be brilliant to see you there. The fiddlers are Shona Mooney, Mhairi Mackinnon, Laura Wilkie, Patsy Reid, Lori Watson, Kristen Harvey, Lauren MacColl, Chris Stout, Aidan O\u2019Rourke, Catriona Price, Adam Sutherland, Innes Watson, Ross Couper, Jenna Reid and Rua MacMillan.<\/p>\n

They also have six Students from Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. They are Ryan Young, Sally Simpson, Robbie MacKenzie, Bernadette Kellerman, Madeleine Stewart and Graham Rorie.<\/p>\n

  3. For A That Variation<\/a> (Shona Mooney)<\/li>\n
  4. Deil Amang the Fiddlers<\/a> (Simon Thoumire)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
