
{"id":28180,"date":"2026-06-30T10:04:25","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T09:04:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/handsupfortrad\/?p=28180"},"modified":"2026-06-30T10:04:28","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T09:04:28","slug":"sold-out-tiree-music-festival-expands-its-15th-edition-line-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/handsupfortrad\/sold-out-tiree-music-festival-expands-its-15th-edition-line-up\/","title":{"rendered":"Sold-out Tiree Music Festival expands its 15th edition line up"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/handsupfortrad\/files\/2026\/06\/Dana-Promo-6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" src=\"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/handsupfortrad\/files\/2026\/06\/Dana-Promo-6.jpg\" alt=\"D\u00e0na promo photo\" class=\"wp-image-28181\" srcset=\"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/handsupfortrad\/files\/2026\/06\/Dana-Promo-6.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/handsupfortrad\/files\/2026\/06\/Dana-Promo-6-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/handsupfortrad\/files\/2026\/06\/Dana-Promo-6-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/handsupfortrad\/files\/2026\/06\/Dana-Promo-6-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/handsupfortrad\/files\/2026\/06\/Dana-Promo-6-24x16.jpg 24w, https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/handsupfortrad\/files\/2026\/06\/Dana-Promo-6-36x24.jpg 36w, https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/handsupfortrad\/files\/2026\/06\/Dana-Promo-6-48x32.jpg 48w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tiree Music Festival (TMF)<\/strong>&nbsp;has been putting the finishing touches to its imminent 15th edition, revealing the latest artists to join its sold-out line up, alongside a packed programme of island events and experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With thousands preparing to descend on the Inner Hebridean island from&nbsp;<strong>Friday 10 \u2013 Sunday 12 July<\/strong>,<strong>&nbsp;TMF&nbsp;<\/strong>has announced that it will welcome acts including country singer&nbsp;<strong>Riley<\/strong>, Britain&#8217;s Got Talent accordion sensation<strong>&nbsp;RuMac<\/strong>, and sought-after folk act&nbsp;<strong>RURA<\/strong>, to the bill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The award-winning Hebridean beachfront festival will also see electro-trad outfit<strong>&nbsp;Mec Lir<\/strong>, high-energy Gaelic group&nbsp;<strong>DL\u00d9,<\/strong>&nbsp;MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards 2025 Up and Coming Act of the Year&nbsp;<strong>D\u00e0na,&nbsp;<\/strong>Lochaber\u2019s brother-led group&nbsp;<strong>Scotstown Dance Band<\/strong>&nbsp;and Fife singer songwriter&nbsp;<strong>Robyn Smith&nbsp;<\/strong>perform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These bright lights in Scotland\u2019s burgeoning trad scene will take to the festival\u2019s Elevate Stage, which, with support from&nbsp;<strong>The National Lottery through Creative Scotland<\/strong>, offers a prominent and important platform for emerging artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With indie, country, folk and roots talent all represented across the bill, returning favourites include Tiree\u2019s own&nbsp;<strong>Gunna Sound<\/strong>, acclaimed musician and broadcaster&nbsp;<strong>Gary Innes<\/strong>, Glasgow singer songwriter&nbsp;<strong>Maria McAveety<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>F\u00e8is Ph\u00e0islig\u2019s C\u00e8ilidh Trail<\/strong>&nbsp;group, who impressed audiences when they made their TMF debut last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The spirit of the festival will extend across the island with&nbsp;<strong>Donnie \u2018Maroot\u2019 MacLeod\u2019s Care for a Ceilidh&nbsp;<\/strong>programme bringing live music to the nearby Tigh a Rhuba Care home, ensuring everyone on Tiree can benefit from and enjoy the festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TMF<\/strong>&nbsp;has also become known for its packed programme of fringe events which show off the very best of the island\u2019s culture and landscape.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visitors can enjoy everything from seafront saunas, beach yoga and watersports including kayaking and surfing, to Gaelic singing, film screenings and tours of Tyree distillery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The latest talent added to the TMF 2026 bill join a host of headline names including&nbsp;<strong>Tide Lines<\/strong>,<strong>&nbsp;Peat &amp; Diesel<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Skerryvore, Skipinnish<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Dougie MacLean<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Sharon Shannon<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>The Laurettes&nbsp;<\/strong>and&nbsp;<strong>The Eves<\/strong>, with more surprises for the festival\u2019s 15th year celebrations still to be announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Astonishingly, TMF started as a 600-capacity event in a community hall car park and is now a multi-award-winning event welcoming 2,300 from around the world to the shores of Tiree each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Daniel Gillespie, Co-founder and Artistic Director of Tiree Music Festival, said:<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cEveryone is feeling so proud to be Scottish this summer and our festival really reflects the best of Scotland: incredible warmth, community spirit, humour, and passion \u2013 not to mention music rooted in our culture that gives you goosebumps, makes you jump up and down one minute, and shed a tear the next.
