A new observational documentary series from Corcadal Productions,\u00a0Suas gu Deas<\/em>, first aired on BBC ALBA and BBC iPlayer on 19th May. The six-part weekly series is now underway and available to watch on BBC iPlayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set across the islands of Uist and Barra in the southern Outer Hebrides, the series follows the people, events and traditions that shape daily life in these remarkable communities \u2014 capturing the resilience, humour and strong sense of belonging that defines island life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For lovers of traditional music, the series has plenty to offer. Across the six episodes, viewers can expect to see the young musicians of Sgoil Bh\u00e0gh a’ Chaisteil preparing to perform at Barralive; quadrilles classes at Ce\u00f2las in South Uist; the popular Cidsin Ceilidh with traditional musicians at Cnoc Soilleir; and conductor John Joe MacNeil leading the Barra Gaelic Choir as they ready themselves to compete at the Lochaber M\u00f2d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suas gu Deas<\/em> airs weekly on BBC ALBA and is available on BBC iPlayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
