SEALL is delighted that ‘F\u00e8is an Eilein’ was named as ‘Community Initiative of the Year, 2014’ at the Highland Third Sector Awards in Dingwall last night.<\/p>\n
It is particularly good that the resurrection of the F\u00e8is as a two month community project in Sleat was recognised. It is also reassuring, in the face of financial cuts particularly to the arts sector, that the ‘Third Sector’ ie Community Volunteers, recognise the importance of arts events and culture in developing and sustaining community life.
\nWell done everyone involved in this year’s F\u00e8is. This was one of the few awards that went to a named project, not an individual – and there were many inspiring people on the night
